Privacy Policy
Effective: 2026-05-18 — Bundle ID: com.ootssu.roadeye
What we collect
- Location (when in use): used only when you tap "Use current location" to set your route origin. Read on-device by CoreLocation and never sent to any server.
- Recent searches: the destination names you've typed are saved on your device so the app can suggest them again. Up to 10 entries, on-device only.
- Sign in with Apple identifiers (optional): if you sign in, Apple may share a stable user ID and — only if you allow it — your name and email. Stored in your device Keychain only.
- Preferences: your selected language and the timestamp/version of the terms you accepted. Stored on-device.
What we don't collect
- We don't run our own backend. There is no RoadEye account or server.
- We don't collect advertising identifiers or track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
- We don't have analytics or crash reporting tied to your identity.
- We don't retain CCTV video. The live feed streams directly from ITS to your device.
Third-party services we use
- Korea ITS National Transport Information Center (its.go.kr) — provides CCTV location metadata and HLS stream URLs. Your device fetches these directly over HTTPS. ITS receives standard request metadata (e.g., IP address) needed to serve the data. Their data handling is governed by ITS policy.
- Apple MapKit — renders the map and computes driving directions between your origin and destination. Apple's privacy policy applies. RoadEye does not store directions on a server.
- Sign in with Apple (optional) — Apple is the identity provider; RoadEye only receives the identifiers Apple chooses to share.
Where your data lives
Search history, preferences, terms-acceptance, the last-shown cross-promo, and any Apple sign-in tokens are all on your device only.
How long we keep your data
On-device data lives until you delete the app or sign out (for Sign in with Apple). RoadEye itself stores nothing on a server.
Deletion
Open Settings inside the app and choose Sign out to clear Apple sign-in. Uninstall the app to remove every other on-device record.
Children
RoadEye is intended for licensed drivers and adults arranging travel. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we'll update the Effective date above and ask you to re-accept the terms on next launch.
