RoadEye

See the road before you start driving.

What it is

RoadEye plans a driving route between two places and pins every public road CCTV along the way onto a single map. Tap a pin to preview the live HLS stream — useful for quickly checking weather, congestion, or accident conditions before you leave.

Requires iOS 17 or later. Korea-focused: powered by the Korea ITS National Transport Information Center open data feed.

How it works

  1. Enter an origin and a destination — or tap "Use current location".
  2. RoadEye computes the driving route with Apple Maps directions.
  3. Public ITS road CCTVs within 500 m of the route appear as pins on the map.
  4. Tap a pin for a preview sheet, then expand to full screen for the live feed.

Data source

CCTV locations and streams come from the Korea Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport — ITS National Transport Information Center. Streams are served as HLS by ITS; some cameras may be temporarily offline depending on ITS system status. RoadEye does not control these feeds and does not retain video.

Privacy first

RoadEye has no servers and no analytics. Your location is read on-device only when you tap "Use current location" and is never transmitted. Sign in with Apple is optional and stores identifiers in your local Keychain.

Drive responsibly

Do not operate this app while driving. Use only when stopped. Live road conditions may differ from what cameras show.
