The minimum claimable area is 200 m² — a small back-yard. Walk a wider loop and try again.
Another player walked a loop that overlapped yours. That's the game! Walk a loop around their land to take it back.
Open Profile → Friends. Share your friend code (or let a friend scan your QR code), or enter their code. Scanning a friend's QR with your phone's camera opens Plotta and adds them instantly. You can then see each other on the friends leaderboard and send "kudos" on each other's lands.
Open Profile → Team. Create a team (name + color) or join one with a team code. Your team competes on the global team leaderboard by total area. You can leave a team at any time; if you created it, ownership passes to another member.
Claim at least one land on a given day to keep your streak going. Your current and best streaks are shown on your Profile. Miss a day and the streak resets.
On the friends list or a leaderboard, long-press (or tap the ⋮ menu on) a player to Block or Report them. Blocking removes them as a friend and stops them connecting with you. You can also report a team's name from the team leaderboard. We review reports and act on objectionable content or abusive accounts. To report a concern directly, email [email protected].
GPS recording uses significant battery. We only record while a session is active — closing or pausing the session immediately stops GPS use. Sessions also auto-end after 60 minutes of no movement.
For Plotta to keep recording when your screen is off, please grant Always location permission in iOS Settings → Plotta → Location. You'll see the blue location indicator at the top of your screen while a session is active.
Settings → Sign out → Delete account. Your user record, walking paths, lands, friends and kudos, team membership, streak, reports, and event history are permanently deleted within 30 days. If you own a team, ownership passes to another member (or the team is removed if you are its last member). Other players' lands are unaffected.
Email [email protected] and we'll get back to you.
