Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-05-18

Personal-journaling tool — informational only

Onnal is a private diary. It does not provide medical, mental-health, or therapeutic advice. The weekly recap is generated by Apple's on-device language model from the text you wrote — it is a reflection aid, not a clinical assessment. If something you've written makes you worry about yourself or someone you love, please reach out to a professional or to a friend.

Acceptable use

AI-generated weekly recaps

On supported devices, the weekly recap paragraph is generated by Apple's on-device Foundation Models from the entries you wrote during that week. The wording is generated text and may not perfectly capture your meaning. Read it as a soft summary, not a literal record.

Pricing

Onnal is free at launch. If a paid tier is added later, these terms will be updated with the relevant subscription details before any charges occur.

Privacy Policy

Your use of Onnal is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Termination

You can delete the app at any time to stop using the service. Because Onnal stores nothing on any server we operate, deleting the app fully removes your data — except for any copy synced to your own iCloud, which you can delete from iOS Settings.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Apple's standard EULA also applies to your use of the app as a licensed application from the App Store.
