Summary

There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no crash-reporting service. Your Screen Time choices and study records never leave your iPhone. The only data that leaves your device is what is needed to process purchases of Mosslock Pro, handled by Apple and RevenueCat as described below. We do not sell or share personal data and do not track you.

Screen Time

Mosslock uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity) with your permission, which you confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. When you choose apps or categories to pause, iOS gives Mosslock only opaque tokens. Mosslock cannot see the names of those apps, how long you use them, or anything inside them. The tokens are kept on your iPhone so the same apps can be paused again. Mosslock never sends Screen Time information off your device and does not use it for advertising.

Study records

Your sessions (start and end times, subject names you type, and whether a session finished), your subjects, study-hour schedules and settings are stored only on your iPhone, in storage shared between the app, its widget and its Screen Time extensions. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. If you use an iCloud or computer backup of your iPhone, this app data may be included in your own backup.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Mosslock schedules local notifications on your iPhone, for example when a session ends. Nothing is sent through a server.

Purchases

Mosslock Pro is sold through the App Store, and Apple processes the payment. Subscription and purchase status is managed by RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID generated on your device together with your purchase history (product, dates, status) so the app can unlock Pro. While processing purchases, RevenueCat also receives technical information such as the app version, operating system version, country (storefront) and your IP address. Mosslock has no accounts and never sends your study records, subjects or Screen Time information to RevenueCat. We never receive your payment details or your Apple Account identity. Share cards

A share card shows only your study time for the week, your streak and your moss garden. It never contains the apps you paused. Sharing happens only when you tap Share, through the iPhone share sheet.

Your controls

Settings › Erase all data in Mosslock removes your records, garden, subjects and study hours, ends any session and lifts every block. You can turn off Mosslock's Screen Time access in the Settings app at any time. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device. Questions: ootssu@ootssu.com.

Children

Mosslock is a self-control tool for the person using the iPhone. It is not a parental-control app and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
