This Privacy Policy explains how Biasly collects, uses, and shares information when you use the app.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 You provide

• Account: email or Apple ID identifier
• Learning preferences: your selected bias (favorite artist/member), Korean proficiency level
• Study inputs: Korean phrases and lyrics you paste for analysis, honorifics-simulator drafts
• Optional feedback and support messages

1.2 Automatically collected

• Subscription state via RevenueCat (hashed Apple ID, entitlement, product ID)
• Crash reports (Apple-level, opt-in)
• Anonymized app version, OS version, device model, coarse locale

1.3 Not collected

• Precise location, contacts, microphone/audio, camera/photos, HealthKit, IDFA, browsing history

2. How We Use Information

• Generate AI-powered lyric analyses, daily study cards, and honorifics coaching
• Personalize learning content to your selected bias and level
• Track your streak and progress
• Process subscription purchases and manage entitlements
• Improve app quality via anonymized aggregate metrics

3. AI and Automated Analysis

To generate analyses, the app sends your pasted text and preference context (level, bias) to Anthropic's Claude API. No personal identifiers (email, user ID) are shared with Anthropic. Analysis results are cached in our database to reduce cost and improve response time. The cache is shared across users for identical input — your personal history is private.

4. User-Submitted Lyrics

You may paste third-party lyrics, dialogue, or social-media text into Biasly for educational breakdown. Biasly does not distribute, republish, or permanently associate those excerpts with you as a user; our role is limited to providing commentary and language analysis. You are responsible for the content you submit.

5. Third-Party Services

We do not sell your data or share it with advertising networks.

6. Storage and Security

• TLS in transit, encryption at rest on Supabase
• Row-level security: each user accesses only their own records
• API keys held outside version control via Supabase Edge Functions

7. Retention

Account and learning history are retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, associated personal data is removed within 30 days, except records required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, PIPA, etc.) you may request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of your personal data. Email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Biasly is not directed to children under 13. Users 13-17 should have a parent or guardian review this policy. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

10. International Transfers

Data may be processed in the United States via Supabase, RevenueCat, and Anthropic.

11. Cookies and Tracking

The app does not use cookies, advertising trackers, or IDFA.

12. Changes

Material changes announced via in-app notice or email at least 7 days before taking effect.
