Privacy Policy
Throne is a private gut-health and bowel tracker. We designed it to run entirely on your device and to need none of your personal data. This policy explains what the app does and does not collect.
Your records stay on your device
Your entries (stool type, color, symptoms, food and water notes, mood) and their history are stored locally on your device using SwiftData and UserDefaults. This health information is not sent to us, and we cannot access it.
Optional iCloud sync
If you turn on iCloud sync, your records are synchronized through your own private iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit) so they appear across your own devices. This data stays inside your personal iCloud; it is not sent to ootssu and we cannot read it. You can leave sync off to keep everything strictly on one device.
No account required
Throne does not ask you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information.
No third-party tracking or analytics
Throne contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking SDKs. Our app's PrivacyInfo manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking = false. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share your personal data.
Subscriptions
Throne Premium is an optional subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription status and unlock premium features. For this purpose RevenueCat processes a randomly generated app user identifier and your App Store purchase and receipt information; it does not receive your name or the contents of your gut-health records. See Apple's Privacy Policy and RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details on payment handling.
Notifications
Reminders, if you choose to enable them, are scheduled locally on your device using iOS notifications. We do not operate a push notification server and do not receive reminder content.
Children
Throne is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your choices
- Deleting the app removes all locally stored records. Records held in your private iCloud can be removed from iCloud settings.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings.
- You can disable notifications in iOS Settings → Throne → Notifications.
