Privacy Policy
ReadWrap is a reading log that turns the books you finish into shareable recap images. It is built to need as little of your data as possible. This policy explains what the app does and doesn’t do with information.
Your library stays on your iPhone
Books, readings, dates, ratings, private notes, one-liners, drafts and cover photos you add are stored in the app’s private storage on your device. They are not sent to us and we cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes them, unless you made a backup.
No account, no ads, no tracking
ReadWrap doesn’t ask for an account, name, email or contacts. It contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking SDKs, and we don’t sell or share personal data.
Book search (Open Library)
When you search for a book, the words you type are sent to the Open Library search service (openlibrary.org, run by the Internet Archive) to find matching titles and authors. Like any web request this also reveals your IP address to that service. Searches happen only when you type a query; you can always add books by hand instead. ReadWrap does not download publisher cover images. See the Internet Archive’s policies.
Purchases
ReadWrap Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to confirm the purchase and unlock Pro. For this, RevenueCat processes a randomly generated app user identifier and your App Store purchase information. It never receives your books, notes or images. See Apple’s and RevenueCat’s privacy policies.
Photos
If you pick a photo as a book cover, only that photo is copied into the app, resized and saved without its location or other camera metadata. When you save recap images, ReadWrap asks only for permission to add images to your photo library; it never reads your library.
Sharing, backups and exports
Recap images and share text contain only what you chose to show: the period, the books you selected, and optionally ratings, one-liners and your name. Private notes never appear in images or share text. Backup files (.readwrap) and CSV exports do contain your notes; they are created only when you ask and go wherever you send them. They are not encrypted, so keep them somewhere private.
Notifications
The optional monthly reminder is scheduled on your device. It never shows book titles, and we run no push server.
Children
ReadWrap is not directed to children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.
Your choices
