Short version

K-Pop Heardle has no user accounts, shows no ads, and uses no analytics or tracking SDKs. Your puzzle results and settings stay on your device. One third-party service does receive data: RevenueCat, which manages the one-time Heardle Pro purchase. It receives a pseudonymous app-user ID it generates itself, your purchase and receipt information, and basic device/OS information — never your name, email, or payment card details.

What stays on your device

• Your daily-puzzle results, streak, and statistics — stored locally (SwiftData on iOS, Room on Android).
• Your notification and language preferences — stored locally (UserDefaults on iOS, DataStore / SharedPreferences on Android).
• Any guess input you type — used only in-app for the current session and never sent anywhere.

If you delete K-Pop Heardle from your device, all of the above is removed.

What leaves your device

• Purchase and entitlement data — RevenueCat. When you open the Heardle Pro screen, buy Pro, or tap Restore, our purchase SDK (RevenueCat, Inc.) receives an anonymous app-user ID that it generates on your device, the store receipt / purchase token for the transaction, and basic device and OS information. This lets the app know whether you own Pro, and lets you restore it. In store-label terms this is purchase history and a device or other ID. It is linked to that pseudonymous ID — not to your name or email — and it is not sold, and not shared with anyone for advertising. Transport is encrypted (HTTPS). See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
• The payment itself is handled entirely by Apple (In-App Purchase) or Google (Google Play Billing). We never see or store your card number, and we receive no billing address.
• The daily song catalog and schedule — a single static JSON file served by a public CDN (jsDelivr, mirroring our GitHub repository). The request includes no personal data — only the standard HTTP headers your device automatically sends. jsDelivr may log that request metadata under their privacy policy.
• 30-second audio preview clips — fetched from Apple's iTunes preview service, the same content available to any music app. Apple may log these requests under their own policies.
• iOS only — cross-promotion. The iOS app fetches a small promotion file from ootssu.com and a sibling app's icon from Apple's iTunes Lookup service. Our web host logs standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, user agent) for these requests, as any web server does. The Android app does not do this.
• iOS only — Game Center. If Game Center is enabled on your device and you sign in, your streak and solved-count scores are submitted to leaderboards handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. Declining costs you nothing else in the app.
• Rating prompt. The rating request is shown by the operating system (Apple's StoreKit review request / Google Play In-App Review). We never learn whether you rated the app or what you wrote.

What we do NOT collect

• Your name, email, phone number, or address. There are no accounts and no sign-in.
• Your contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, location, or health data.
• Advertising identifiers. There is no IDFA request on iOS, and the Android app does not declare the AD_ID permission. The app shows no ads.
• Any analytics, attribution, or telemetry SDK.
• Crash reports beyond what Apple and Google already provide to developers in aggregated form via App Store Connect and Play Console.

Third parties

The services that can receive data are: RevenueCat (purchase management), Apple (App Store / In-App Purchase, iTunes preview and lookup services, Game Center on iOS), Google (Google Play / Play Billing and Play In-App Review on Android), and jsDelivr (public CDN for the song catalog). Use of Apple and Google services is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.

Children

K-Pop Heardle is not directed to children. It is rated 4+ on the App Store, and on Google Play its declared target audience is 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Data retention and deletion

On-device data persists until you delete the app or clear its data in system settings. The purchase record held by RevenueCat persists so that Restore keeps working; to have it deleted, email us and we will delete the RevenueCat customer record associated with your purchase. Receipts and transaction records held by Apple or Google are retained by them under their own policies and we cannot delete those on your behalf.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
