Privacy Policy
Itda is a Korean word-chain game that helps you learn Korean while you play. It is designed to work entirely on your device and to need none of your personal data. This policy explains what the app does and does not collect.
All data stays on your device
Your Wordbook (words you have encountered), game history and stats, and settings are stored locally on your device using SwiftData and UserDefaults. This information is not sent to us and we cannot access it.
No account required
Itda does not ask you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information.
No third-party tracking or analytics
Itda contains no analytics or tracking SDKs and does not build advertising profiles. Our app's PrivacyInfo manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking = false. We do not sell or share your personal data.
Speak Mode and the microphone
Speak Mode is optional. If you enable it, Itda asks permission to use the microphone and speech recognition so you can say a Korean word to continue the chain. Speech is recognized on-device (Apple's on-device speech recognition); the audio is processed on your device and is not uploaded to us. The microphone is only used while Speak Mode is active, and you can decline or disable it at any time.
Subscriptions
Itda Pro is an optional subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription status and unlock Pro features. For this purpose RevenueCat processes a randomly generated app user identifier and your App Store purchase and receipt information; it does not receive your name or your gameplay data. See Apple's Privacy Policy and RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Dictionary data
Itda's word data is derived in part from 우리말샘 (opendict.korean.go.kr), the National Institute of Korean Language open dictionary, licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0 KR. This is bundled content shipped with the app; it does not involve any of your personal data.
Children
Itda is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your choices
- Deleting the app removes all locally stored Wordbook, stats, and settings data.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings.
- You can disable microphone/Speech access in iOS Settings → Itda.
