Starting a conversation
Open the app, choose how much Korean you already know, and tap to talk. The tiger begins — you answer out loud. Everything he says appears on screen in Hangul with romanization underneath.
He only speaks Korean. Is that a bug?
No, that is the whole app. He will not switch to English. If you cannot follow, stay quiet for a moment and he will say the same thing in simpler Korean. Tap What does it mean? under a line to see the meaning in your language.
Picking where to start
Choose I'm starting from zero if you cannot read Hangul — he will use one word at a time and ask yes-or-no questions. Choose I can read Hangul for short sentences. You can change this at any time.
Minutes
New installs get a small trial allowance, and the first session is kept short so you can come back rather than spend it all at once. After that, choose a monthly subscription or a one-time minute pack. Pack minutes never expire. See the terms for prices and renewal.
Restoring purchases
If you reinstall or change device, use Restore purchases in Settings. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account.
The tiger cannot hear me
Check that Horangi has microphone permission in iOS Settings → Horangi. If you are on a call or another app is holding the microphone, end that first. Bluetooth headsets sometimes need to be reconnected.
Sharing a line
Tap What does it mean? on any line, then Share this line to send a card with the Hangul, the romanization, and the meaning.
Deleting your data
Email [email protected] and we will delete the records tied to your install.
