Clearfield
Classic Minesweeper: use neighboring numbers to reason about hidden mines. The first tap is safe; hold a cell to flag it.
PUZZLE FIELD NOTES · 01
Not every puzzle asks you to think in the same way. Minesweeper is about local constraints; nonograms are about runs of filled cells; ordering puzzles ask you to combine statements. Start with the kind of thinking you enjoy, not a long list of downloads.

A clue describes runs of filled cells in order. On a five-cell row, 5 fills the whole row. A clue of 1 1 means two single filled cells with at least one empty cell between them—not two touching cells.
Start with the most constrained rows. A run of three on a five-cell row must include the middle cell wherever it starts. That overlap gives you a safe first move. Then check columns; a move justified by a row must still agree with its column.
Every row and every column uses the same clue sequence: 1, 3, 5, 3, 1. Fill the center row first, then use the center column and the remaining clues. A click toggles a filled cell; leaving a cell white means empty. This is a free browser exercise, not a demo of any app’s interface.
A number counts mines in the eight neighboring positions, including diagonals. If a revealed 1 has exactly one unopened neighbor, that neighbor must be a mine. If that 1 already touches one correctly flagged mine, its other unopened neighbors are safe. A flag is your hypothesis, not proof: an incorrect flag can invalidate later deductions.

Nonograms turn row and column clues into a picture. Its Android listing describes daily puzzles, offline play and no ads.
A daily ordering puzzle: arrange five real cities using four clues. The Android launch notes list the daily puzzle and archive as free.
Draw lines and close territory while avoiding enemies. Choose this for timing and movement rather than pure logic. The Android edition has 100 stages.
