풀리지 않을 때
찍을 것은 없습니다. 1위가 될 수 없는 도시를 먼저 지우고, 그다음 2위가 될 수 없는 것을 지우면 순서가 떨어집니다.
구매 복원
기기를 바꿨거나 다시 설치했다면 설정에서 '구매 복원'을 누르세요. 같은 Apple 계정(Android는 같은 Google 계정)이면 두 번 청구되지 않습니다.
연속 기록이 사라졌어요
연속 기록은 기기에 있습니다. 붙여 둘 계정이 없기 때문입니다. 앱을 지우면 함께 사라집니다. 가입을 요구하지 않는 대신 치르는 값입니다.

How the puzzle works
Five real cities, ranked by one attribute — area, population, latitude, and so on. The clues are all true, and together they leave exactly one possible order. You get three tries.
There is never anything to guess. If it will not come out, the answer is in a clue you have not used yet: work out which city cannot be first, then which cannot be second, and the order falls out.
Solve it and the real values open up, so you can see how close the ones you were unsure about actually were.
A new puzzle every day
Puzzles change at midnight UTC, not at your local midnight. That is the same clock the website uses, so the app and podium.ootssu.com always show the same puzzle at the same moment.
Playing offline
The app downloads several days ahead whenever it has a connection, so a day you have already downloaded plays with no network at all. The first launch on a given day needs a connection if that day has not been fetched yet; if it cannot reach the server it will say so rather than showing you an old puzzle as though it were today's.
Free, and Ranklet Plus
The daily puzzle is free forever, and so is the entire archive. Free play also includes three practice puzzles a day.
Ranklet Plus adds unlimited practice and lets you choose the difficulty. It is $2.99 a month or $14.99 a year in the US; your own currency and price are shown in the app before you buy. Manage or cancel it in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on iPhone, or in Google Play → Subscriptions on Android.
Restoring a purchase
On a new phone, or after reinstalling, open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases. The same Apple Account, or the same Google Account on Android, will not be charged twice. If the restore finds nothing, check that you are signed in with the account that made the purchase.
My streak disappeared
The streak lives on your device, because there is no account to attach it to. Deleting the app, or moving to a new phone without a restored backup, loses it. That is the trade for not asking you to sign up for anything, and we would rather be straightforward about it than pretend otherwise.
The streak counts back from yesterday until you play today, so seeing it hold steady in the morning is normal, not a bug.
A fact looks wrong
The data comes from Wikidata, which is community-maintained, and definitions vary — a city's area might be its municipal boundary in one entry and its whole metropolitan region in another. Puzzles are checked automatically for internal consistency, but that is not the same as being right.
If something looks wrong, send the date of the puzzle to ootssu@ootssu.com and we will look at the underlying record.
Reminders are not arriving
Check that notifications are allowed for Ranklet in your phone’s system settings — iOS Settings → Notifications → Ranklet, or Android Settings → Apps → Ranklet → Notifications. If the switch in the app is on but permission is off, the app will say so and offer a link straight to the right settings screen.
Deleting your data
Delete the app. Everything it stored goes with it, and there is no server copy to ask us about.
