Ranklet is a daily ranking puzzle. It has no account, asks for nothing about you, and keeps what little it stores on your own device. This policy says exactly what that means.

Short version

• There is no account, no sign-up, and no email address.
• Your streak and results are stored on your phone and nowhere else.
• We operate no server that holds anything about you.
• The only network requests Ranklet makes are for the puzzles themselves and, if you subscribe, to confirm the purchase.

No account, no identity

Ranklet has nothing to sign in to. We do not ask for a name, an email address, a phone number, or a social login, and we do not create an identifier that follows you between apps or devices. We have no way of knowing who you are, which also means we cannot look up "your data" if you ask — there is no record of you on our side to look up.

What is stored, and where

Everything below lives in the app's own storage on your device. None of it is copied to a server.

• Your results: which day you played, how many tries it took, and whether you solved it. This is what the streak is counted from.
• Practice progress: how many free practice puzzles you have used today, and which ones you have already seen, so the app does not repeat them.
• Downloaded puzzles: the app keeps the published puzzle files so that it works without a connection.
• Your settings: whether a daily reminder is on and the time you chose for it.

Deleting the app removes all of it from your device. Because there is no copy on a server, there is nothing left over and nothing to request from us.

Where the puzzles come from

Ranklet downloads each day's puzzle from podium.ootssu.com, which serves static files. Those requests carry what any web request carries — your IP address and the operating system version making the request — and they are handled by our hosting provider, Vercel, which keeps short-lived operational logs for security and reliability. We do not attach anything to those requests that identifies you or your device, and we do not build a profile from them.

Once a puzzle has been downloaded it stays on your device, so playing an already-downloaded day needs no connection at all.

The subscription

Ranklet Plus is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store on iPhone and through Google Play on Android. We never see or handle your payment details; Apple or Google processes the payment.

To know whether this device has an active subscription, we use RevenueCat, a purchase-management service, as our processor. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier for the install and the store purchase record for this app — which product was bought, when it renews, and whether it is a sandbox or production purchase. It receives nothing about how you play. We use it only to unlock what you paid for and to restore it on a new device.

If you never subscribe, this never happens.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, Ranklet schedules a local notification on your device at the time you chose. It is created and delivered by the phone itself — there is no push server, and no notification token is sent anywhere. You can turn it off in the app or in your phone's system settings.

No advertising, no analytics, no tracking

Ranklet contains no advertising, no analytics SDK, no attribution SDK, and no crash-reporting service. It does not use the Advertising Identifier and does not ask for tracking permission, because it has nothing to track you with. We do not build profiles from your usage, and we do not sell or share personal data — we hold none to sell.

Children

Ranklet is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included.

Your rights

Access, correction, deletion and portability rights all apply to personal data a company holds about you. We hold none: there is no account, no server-side record, and no identifier linking this app to you. Your data is on your phone, where you can read it in the app and delete it by deleting the app. If you believe we hold something about you, write to us and we will tell you plainly what we can and cannot see.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, the date at the top will change and the updated policy will be published here before the change ships in an app update.
