What we collect

• Account info: Apple identifier you sign in with.
• Pet records: name, species, breed, date of birth, microchip number, owner-supplied notes.
• Trip details: origin, destination, airline, departure date, generated checklist progress.
• Documents: photos of vaccine cards, health certificates, and microchip records you choose to upload, plus the OCR text extracted from them.

What we don't collect

• We do not collect or sell advertising identifiers.
• We do not track you across other apps.
• We do not access your contacts or location.

How the checklist is generated

When you create a trip, we send your trip context (route, airline, pet species, vaccine status) to Anthropic's Claude API along with the matching canonical regulation rules from our database. Claude composes a personalized timeline from those rules. Claude does not invent regulations — its sole job is to combine the rules we provide with your trip dates. Anthropic does not retain prompts for model training.

Document OCR

Photos you upload are scanned on-device using Apple's Vision framework to extract text and dates. The extracted text is stored alongside the document so we can flag expirations. The original image is stored privately on Supabase Storage with row-level security tied to your account.

Where your data lives

Pet records, trips, documents, and checklists are stored on Supabase (our backend host). Only you can read your rows — enforced by row-level security tied to your account.

Third-party services we use

• Supabase — database, authentication, and document storage.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — generates per-trip checklists from canonical rules. Anthropic does not retain prompts for model training.
• RevenueCat — manages your subscription status. Receives an anonymous user identifier and your subscription state. No pet or document data is shared with RevenueCat.
• Apple — used only for Sign in with Apple. We receive an authentication token and (if you allow it) your email.

Important — informational tool only

Petport is an informational tool to help you keep track of pet travel requirements. It is not legal or veterinary advice. Always confirm requirements with your airline and a licensed veterinarian within 24 hours of departure.

How long we keep your data

Your account, pets, trips, and documents are kept as long as your account exists. When you delete your account from Settings → Delete account, all data is permanently removed within seconds.

Account deletion

Delete your account from Settings → Delete account. This removes your auth record and cascades a hard-delete across every Petport table.

Children

Petport is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
