Common questions

How do I play?
Drag a rectangle across cells whose numbers add to 10. The cells inside that rectangle clear. The more cells you clear in one rectangle, the more points you score. Keep clearing until you run out of moves.

Why does everyone get the same board?
Jiyul generates one global puzzle per day from the date itself (deterministic seed). That way you can compare your score with friends and family without any network or account.

What is "오늘의 봇 점수"?
A deterministic solver inside the app plays the same board as you and posts its score as the daily target. Beating the bot is a clear, repeatable goal — and the bot plays the same on every device.

When does the new puzzle appear?
Every day at midnight Asia/Seoul (KST). The app reads your device clock and converts to KST automatically — you do not need to change your time zone.

Do I need to create an account?
No. Jiyul has no accounts and no login. Your progress is stored only on your device.

Does the app need an internet connection?
No. Jiyul is 100% offline. The daily puzzle is generated locally from the date.

How do I change my player name?
Open Settings inside the app and edit the player name field. The default is "지율".

How do I turn off sound?
Open Settings inside the app and toggle Sound off.

How do I reset my streak or scores?
Delete the app from your device. Because Jiyul does not sync to the cloud, deleting the app removes all your local data, and reinstalling starts you fresh.
